YES! First rate and rapid support is our passion! You can contact
us for very fast, friendly and extremely helpful support via the
account center help desk. You can also search
through the
knoweldge base and watch flash
tutorials covering nearly every aspect of using your hosting account.
Support replies are usually answered within 6 hours, 7 days a week,
365 days a year. Most times your support tickets are answered within
just minutes. If we happen to get bogged down and can't reply to
your initial support ticket or voicemail within twenty-four hours
we will credit you a whole month of
service.
Do you provide telephone support through
a call center?
Call centers are extremely expensive to operate and would force
our prices up significantly. We provide hosting solutions to clients
from many different countries and telephone support does not efficiently
function across that platform whereas web based support does. We
find that we can be more specific with web based support compared
to verbal support via the phone. Web based support also documents
our responses so you can revisit them at a later date rather than
trying to make your own notes from a telephone conversation.
Note:
We do provide a toll-free voicemail box that pages us with each
message for emergency use only; this number is available in your
account center.
Do you have 24-hour/emergency support?
24-hour incident reporting is available via the client
account
center help desk and voicemail. If you are unable to reach your
web site, first verify that you can access other sites on the Internet
including Kmet Hosting's
network
status page. Then, contact us and describe what methods you
have tried to access your site. This will assist us in more quickly
troubleshooting the problem you are experiencing.
Note:
Due to our clients being in many differnet countries phone support
is replied to via the
account center help
desk or off-network email. Also note that not all countries will
be able to make emergency support calls via our voicemail system;
please use other established means of support if this applies to
your country.
Scope of Service
Client agrees and understands that the extent of Kmet Hosting's
services are web site hosting and related Internet services. By
using our web hosting services, client understands that they are
contracting for the use of disk space on our web server and access
to place files in that space. Our web hosting services do not include
design assistance, troubleshooting of computer hardware or software
problems on client's computer, or other support outside of the scope
of web site hosting.
Use of Service
Use of Kmet Hosting's web hosting service requires a certain level
of knowledge in the use of Internet languages, protocols, and software.
This level of knowledge varies depending on the anticipated use
and desired content of client's web site. The following examples
are offered.
Web Publishing: Requires
a knowledge of HTML, web authoring software interfaces, properly
locating and linking documents, FTPing web site contents, creation
of graphics, text, sound, use of email and accessing and managing
files on client's own computer.
Programming: Use of
PHP/CGI/Perl scripts, databases, etc. requires a knowledge of these
programming languages and systems. Kmet Hosting's support for these
is limited to providing the necessary access on server to allow
client to use these features.
The client agrees that he or she has the necessary knowledge to
access our network, create web content and operate any web software
located on client's own computer. Client agrees that it is not the
responsibility of Kmet Hosting to provide this knowledge or customer
support outside of the defined service of Kmet Hosting.
Access to the Internet
Client must have their own access to the Internet and the World
Wide Web. Kmet Hosting does not supply these services. Kmet Hosting
specializes in web hosting and other related services. At the client's
request, Kmet Hosting may recommend vendors for such access services
to the client.
Kmet Hosting's Commitment to Our Clients
Our aim is to offer friendly technical support and assistance, and
make publishing, maintaining, and using your web site a rewarding
and enjoyable experience. We only regret that our commitment to
all of our customers, and the complexities of publishing on the
web, do not allow us the time or the resources to offer unlimited
computer technical support in areas not directly related to accessing
and using your web hosting account.
