All servers have been upgraded to the latest stable CPanel build (7.4.0+); updates include MySQL 4.0143, Exim 4, Mailman 2.1.2, phpMyAdmin 2.5.1, imp 3.2.1, and phpbb 2.0.5. Included in the udpate are spam boxes: users can now choose to have all spam tagged by SpamAssassin sent to a folder called 'spam' instead of their 'inbox'. The network status, server uptime and annoucements page has now been moved to a location off the NAC datacenter network to ensure all clients are kept up-to-date if issues arise. Information
In 1997 Kmet Developing was established by Wassim Metallaoui as a software development group. We became fed up with the lack of support and the requirement of purchasing a new hosting account per client. Tired of our hosting providers we formed Kmet Hosting in 2001. For two years our servers were used to host only our development clients; in 2003, after plenty of experience in the field, we opened our doors to the public.

Affordability
Basically Kmet Hosting was built as if we were the client and what would be the things that we would be searching for and requiring. We needed to save money with our hosting expenses. This was the first priority for the Kmet Hosting business model. Hence we offer hosting plans that start at just $5.95 a month.

Our hosting plans also allow true Multiple Domain Hosting by giving our clients the freedom to host as many domains as they like inside predetermined Disk Space and Data Transfer limits.

Personal Client Support
Service is what people scream for and demand these days. Too many hosts ignore this critical aspect to the business and clients feel let down. We don't treat our clients like numbers. We treat them like friends. Personal care and quality service is at the very heart of Kmet Hosting. Our current clients testify to this personal service and care.

Technology
NAC's connections to multiple backbone providers, and peering with many carriers on a regional and international basis, allows them to easily reach remote networks even in the case where a NAP may be unhealthy, or when a specific backbone connection is down. It also allows NAC to make intelligent routing decisions; for example, if they are trying to reach a remote network which is on the Sprint network, there's no reason to send it out to UUNET first.

By placing their core nodes at places like Equinix and Telehouse, we are guaranteed a level of competent service. All of NAC's core nodes employ SONET networks, which essentially provides a dual-redundant, counter-rotating ring technology, and in the event of a fiber cut, the SONET will automatically heal itself. NAC also divide our circuits among several telecommunications providers, such as Verizon, MFS/Worldcom, and Adelphia.

100% Honesty and Integrity
Another aspect of Kmet Hosting was that it had to be built around 100% honesty and integrity. There's way too much sugar-coating and straight out deceitfulness on the internet these days. We believe that honesty is the best policy. Most hosts will also claim that they run their own datacenter. We would say that 99.5% of web hosts do not own the datacenter that their servers are housed in. We lease equipment inside the NAC datacenter and do not own the datacenter. It would be nice if the hosting industry worldwide was as honest in this respect.

Stability
Kmet Hosting is a 100% debt free hosting company. We never incur debt. We always pay upfront for services pertaining to our business. Our business is also cashflow positive and profitable. Those 3 factors - "debt free", "cashflow positive" and "profitable" lay the foundation to build a very strong business that will be around for a very long time. Web Hosting providers that are debt free, cashflow positive and profitable are very far and few between these days.

In fact we are one of the few hosting providers that could actually stop the intake of all new clients now and still survive with our current positive cashflow. Most hosting providers need the new growth so they can keep their negative cashflow running.
